By the age of 10 I got bored of the piano so I then switched to making hip hop beats. Since I was a little child I loved music so after some time I got interested into making beats. When I was 15 years old I made my first hip hop beat and it was great! I got started because of my grandparents. At first, I surely got some problems, but after a year or two, it was pretty simple. And now it’s not a problem for me, if you once know how it works, it’s not complicated. And for me it’s fascinating. It’s cool to see how you can write music down and create something new from scratch. I know a couple of beatmakers and I used to use FL studio myself. The beats back in the 90′s were better but the hip hop instrumentals in our times are still good though so I never lost interest in making beats. And if your good enough, you could give your beats to artists that record songs on it and release it. I am in orchestra as well. I have been for 4 years now. It is very traditional and we learn music theroy twice a week, therefore I know the basics like time signatures, tempos, and some symbols like ds alcodas and codas and such.
Anyways for me the music is more important than the production, you need to get inspired by something to lay down some melodies or chords.
After years of practice it´s simple for me now but at the beginning I had problems but with the time you learn as you get more and more skilled. I think your determination will help you to stick to the challenge of learning to make hip hop beats. Therefore producing hip hop beats is more a matter of practice, ambition and will power than a question of talent.
